Dental microscope
Currently dentistry has evolved a lot, and with it the technology that is used in this area. One of these advances is the use of the dental microscope. With its use we get better diagnoses and better treatments since it gives us many advantages that in the end result in acting with greater precision.
It gives us a better magnification and greater luminosity and allows us to see problems that go unnoticed by the naked eye for the human eye, in order to achieve the maximum effectiveness of treatments.
The microscope can be used in all areas of dentistry: in endodontics, aesthetics, periodontics, conservative dentistry and even oral surgeries and implants. With its use we can get:
- Better precision in dental diagnosis.
- Better visualization of the details.
- Greater conservation of tissues.
- Perform a less invasive and less traumatic dentistry.
- Improve and optimize the quality of treatments, as well as their predictability.
- Improve communication with the patient since images can be obtained during treatment.
Therefore, for all the above and as a summary, the dental microscope is an indispensable tool to achieve the best diagnoses and maximum precision and effectiveness of treatments. It allows us to see the problems when they are very small and eliminate them and treat them in the most conservative and accurate way possible.
Scanner and 3D
Computed tomography
At the Loscos dental clinic we work with a 3D computerized tomography system that offers the highest resolution and lowest radiation in its category. This system allows us a thorough evaluation of bone level and quality for implant placement, as well as for periodontic, orthodontic and endodontic evaluations.
Intraoral camera
The intraoral camera allows us a more accurate diagnosis of the patient, helping us at the same time to better understand their pathology and treatment since you can see all the technique that the professional performs on him through a television. With a fiber optic brush the images of the patient’s cavity are projected onto a computer or television.
Intraoral 3D scanner
In our dental clinic we have an intraoral scanner, a tool that allows us to take digital impressions with the latest 3D technology. Thanks to the intraoral scanner, we avoid the annoying measures in the mouth that we used to have to do to patients in order to have a model of their teeth.
The scanner is passed through the patient’s teeth until a full and three-dimensional recreation of his mouth is achieved. It is indicated for orthodontic treatments, crowns and bridges, dental veneers, implant planning, etc.
CAD / CAM
CAD-CAM is a system that allows you to design, using a software program, dental crowns or bridges that are then placed in the patient’s mouth.
It is a system that allows the creation of dental pieces with accuracy and precision. This technology is based on a scanner that obtains a faithful image of the patient’s mouth, avoiding the taking of measurements that were traditionally performed with silicones.
From there, the dental technician obtains a digital file of the mouth and through the computer program projects the piece in 3D to later elaborate the dental piece as it is.
Laser and ultrasound
Dental laser: soft tissues / hard tissues
The dental laser allows us to perform a wide variety of more accurate, safe and higher quality treatments. The laser emits a light that removes the infected dental tissue, identifying the healthy tissue of the patient. Among its many advantages, highlight the respect to healthy tissue, which makes it a very conservative procedure, and the production of a high disinfection in the area in which it is applied.
Surgical ultrasound
This system is used in cases where we need to take off the periodontal ligament of the tooth or at breast elevations.
Oralchroma
The pathological halitosis or bad breath is an abnormal smell of air exhaled by an excess of microbes that can leave the lung, stomach, nose, and especially the mouth. These microbes emanate volatile compounds that cause an unpleasant odor, detected by the human nose and by electronic devices such as oral chroma.
In Loscos dental clinic we have this chromatograph that allows us to know in only 8 minutes if the halitosis is of gingival, periodontal or systemic origin (respiratory, digestive …)
Centrifugal machine (PRGF)
In Loscos Clinic we have an ideal tool for the development of plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF), whose main applications are the regeneration and healing of soft and hard tissues.
Through a simple blood extraction, isolate, concentrate and extract the patient’s growth factors, a set of proteins present in the blood and responsible for repairing tissues naturally.
KIT CALM
Kit Calm is a very useful electronic device designed especially for those patients who are afraid of the dentist. It is a button that the patient has and that is connected to a receiver that is placed in the dental unit, so that when pressed, emits a light and acoustic signal to improve communication between the patient and the dentist and reduce your anxiety.
